In this 30 minute webinar, our M2T-Blade team will take you through the principles, protocols and anatomy to assess and treat the muscle in the face using M2T-Blade IASTM
The muscles of facial expression are located in the subcutaneous tissue, originating from bone or fascia, and inserting onto the skin. By contracting, the muscles pull on the skin and exert their effects. They are the only group of muscles that insert into skin. It is composed of numerous muscles that control fine movement to produce facial expressions.
Unlike other muscles, these muscles originate on bone or fascia of the face and attach directly to the skin, allowing it to be manipulated.
These muscles have a common embryonic origin – the 2nd pharyngeal arch. They migrate from the arch, taking their nerve supply with them. There are 43 muscles in the face, most of which are controlled by the seventh cranial nerve (also known as the facial nerve).
The facial muscles can broadly be split into three groups: orbital, nasal and oral.
M2T-Blade Aesthetic Rejuvenation Tool is the first generation IASTM Tool used to relax the facial muscles to prevent fine lines which causes premature and deep wrinkles.
